GroovaRoo (June block) Winchburgh

Service Description

This 5 week block of GroovaRoo is a fantastic opportunity to dance and have fun. GroovaRoo is a soul line dance class suitable during pregnancy and for parent/caregiver from 6 weeks postpartum. Come rock with your little one and other groovin' parents in this unique babywearing, baby-bonding dance class with Vanessa. This class is appropriate for all levels of dance experience, including beginners. We will be doing fun, easy community dances with an emphasis on creating a safe, sacred and soulful experience for you and your baby. We welcome you to bring your own ergonomic, 2-shoulder carrier, however, if you need help with your carrier or would like to use one of our extra carriers, please arrive 15 minutes early. NOTE: In a GroovaRoo dance class, our baby is our dance partner, so we will be dancing with babies carried on the front of your body, facing in and heart-to-heart (like any other partnered dance). If you have any reservations or physical limitations about having your baby carried on the front and facing in, please contact us at​ vanessa_doula@outlook.com. Please bring your sling/carrier to class, along with anything you may need for baby and water. The class is baby-led so there is always flexibility with time built in at the beginning to get settled down before starting so please don't worry if you are a few minutes late or if baby needs changing or fed.
